Bonfire Safety Message

We wish everyone a wonderful Bonfire  period, but please be safe and act responsibly when celebrating.

Thousands of people will enjoy fireworks and Bonfires safely; However, a small minority will use fireworks to cause crime and nuisance in their local communities.

West Yorkshire Police will not tolerate this behaviour and the consequences are serious.

The law says:
You must not set off fireworks between 11pm - 7am, except for:
Bonfire Night, when the cut off is midnight
New Year’s Eve, Diwali & Chinese New Year, when the cut off is 1am
Read more at: Fireworks: the law - GOV.UK

Did you know West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service have a host of information, to help keep you safe this Bonfire period.

Read more at: Bonfire Night Safety | West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service

Please be safe and look out for one another, follow safety advice and only buy fireworks that are CE-marked and from responsible retailers.
