I know there are some concerns about increased ASB and crime in the Denholme area. As you know, I have not been here due to 3 surgeries and subsequent recovery, so I requested an intelligence pack specifically for Denholme from my intelligence / crime analysts to get me up to speed. 

This is why it is so important to report issues officially and they are recorded. 

Between 1/1/24 and 21/4/24 there were 10 calls relating to ASB. 8 were youth related. The times are between 1744 and 2140. 

There have been 8 criminal damages reported. 

These are relatively low numbers, but I appreciate you have high standards in Denholme - as do I. 

My plan is :

Every report of ASB and or crime will be recorded and investigated. Positive action will be taken where evidence is available. 

A patrol plan covering the times of reports and locations will be implemented by my staff. This means when demand allows, they will prioritise Denholme patrols. 

Each person identified as being involved will have a tailor-made approach of prosecution. ASB sanction and support / referrals where appropriate.

I will liaise with youth services for outreach engagement.
